Kentucky Derby Post Time Announced
150th Run for the Roses to Begin at 6:57 PM
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Kentucky Derby, the first leg in horse racing's Triple Crown, will begin at 6:57 pm on Saturday, May 6.
Coverage on NBC and Peacock will start at 2:30 pm. The race will be the 12th of the day and will be run at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky.
The Kentucky Derby is one of the most prestigious races in the world and is known as the "Run for the Roses" because the winner is draped in a blanket of roses.
