Hockey Canada Announces Team Canada Roster for 2023 World Juniors

22 Players Named to Roster, Led by Two-Time Olympic Gold Medallist Rick Nash

Team Canada set to defend gold medal at 2023 World Juniors in Halifax and Moncton

Hockey Canada has announced the first 22 players who will represent Team Canada at the 2023 World Junior Championship. The tournament will be held in Halifax and Moncton from December 26th to January 5th.

The roster includes a number of highly-touted prospects, including Connor Bedard, Shane Wright, and Logan Cooley. Bedard is considered to be one of the best prospects in the world and is expected to be a top pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.

Two-time Olympic gold medallist Rick Nash will lead Team Canada as general manager. He will be joined behind the bench by head coach Dave Cameron.

Team Canada will open their tournament on December 26th against Czechia. They will also face Austria, Germany, and Sweden in the preliminary round.

The 2023 World Junior Championship is sure to be a competitive tournament. Team Canada will be looking to defend their gold medal and will be one of the favorites to win the tournament.
