13 Weight Categories Announced for Boxing at Paris 2024 Olympics
13 Gold Medals Up for Grabs
The International Boxing Association (AIBA) has announced that there will be 13 weight categories contested in boxing at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Same Number of Categories as Previous Games
The boxing program for Paris 2024 will feature the same number of weight categories as those in the previous Games. The 13 weight classes are:
- Flyweight (48-51 kg)
- Bantamweight (52-57 kg)
- Featherweight (57-63 kg)
- Lightweight (63-69 kg)
- Welterweight (69-75 kg)
- Middleweight (75-81 kg)
- Light Heavyweight (81-86 kg)
- Heavyweight (86-92 kg)
- Super Heavyweight (+92 kg)
- Women's Flyweight (48-52 kg)
- Women's Featherweight (52-57 kg)
- Women's Lightweight (57-60 kg)
- Women's Welterweight (60-66 kg)
The world's top boxing athletes will gather in Paris from July 26 to August 11, 2024, to compete for the 13 gold medals up for grabs.
