Buffalo Defeats Akron for Fifth Consecutive Meeting
The University of Akron volleyball team fell 3-0 to the University at Buffalo in their conference season and home opener on Wednesday in front of 205 fans inside James A. Rhodes Arena.
Buffalo (4-3, 1-0 MAC) earned the victory by set scores of 25-15, 25-16 and 25-17, handing the Zips (5-3, 0-1 MAC) their first loss of the season inside Rhodes Arena.
Sophomore libero Karleighana O'Leary notched a match-high 13 digs and the Zips' only service ace of the evening, while classmate setter Payton Perkey had a team-leading 18 assists.
